Students to module ratio set to 1:1

MODULE SWAP. Mr. Mark Jason Dayao retrieves and distributes self-learning modules to students from Toran, Aparri, Cagayan.

Budget constraints forced the ASAT Junior High School Curriculum last year to print three sets of modules which will be shared among students. This year School Principal III Nimfa A. Alagao, Ph.D. announced that the student to module ratio is set to 1:1.

Alagao explained that since the school received a massive boost from the Local Government Unit of Aparri amounting to P 364,000.00, the school can now afford to reproduce modules for every student.

“Aside from the fund given by LGU-Aparri, we are also waiting for another copier. Actually, it is on the process of procurement already.” she added.

She also said that centralization of module production is one of the factors that helped the school in meeting the ideal ratio. She said that having 1:1 ratio will protect both learners and teachers from COVID-19 since the number of module distribution and retrieval will be reduced to once a week.

In an interview with some parents of the school, they said that they were delighted to hear that their children will have their own set of modules.

The school administration scheduled the distribution and retrieval of modules every Friday until such time that all modules for the second quarter will be distributed.
