Crowded rooms affect learning—Grade 8 Chair

From seven sections last year, the grade eight curriculum added another section by converting one faculty room into a classroom but this was still not
enough to solve the problem of overcrowded rooms. The grade eight curriculum has a total population of 512, the highest among all the grade level in the campus.
“Our grade eight learners have a very low mean percentage score. This is because we have more than 60 students per class.”said Mrs. Andreya A. Labbao, the grade level chairman. “Discomfort is felt by both learners and teachers because of the limited space. Our classroom discussions were affected due to students’ restlessness and it leads to low performance and achievement of our learners.” she added.
