{"id":513,"date":"2020-01-09T10:05:01","date_gmt":"2020-01-09T02:05:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/asat-edu.com\/?page_id=513"},"modified":"2021-02-14T19:44:41","modified_gmt":"2021-02-14T11:44:41","slug":"student-handbook","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/asat-edu.com\/index.php\/student-handbook\/","title":{"rendered":"Student Handbook"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>ARTICLE I<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SCHOOL DISCIPLINE<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sec. I. Authority to\nmaintain School Discipline<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; (D.O.\nNo. 92, S. 1992 Page 22-23) <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cEvery school shall maintain discipline inside the school\ncampus as well as outside the school premises when pupils or students are\nengaged in activities authorized by the school.\u201d <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I<strong>.I &nbsp;&nbsp; Imposition of Disciplinary Action <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>I.I.I. School officials and\nteachers shall have the right to impose appropriate and reasonable disciplinary\nmeasures in case of minor offenses or infraction of good discipline. However,\nno cruel or physically harmful punishment shall be imposed or applied against\nany pupil or student. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;I<strong>.I.2 Suspension \/ Expulsion (Sec. 145-151, Part VI Chapter III, Service\nManual 1960) <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;* For first and other\noffenses which are not very serious in nature, a suspension from school not\nexceed to three (3) days maybe authorized by the principal without the prior\napproval of the Division Superintendent. However, parents must be informed by\nthe teacher or the school principal of any misconduct on the part of the\nchildren for which disciplinary action is necessary. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp; For persistent offender or one guilty of a\nserious offense, a suspension not more than (1) year maybe impose subject to\nthe approval of the Division Superintendent. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Suspension\nfor a school year or more, or expulsion from school can be ordered only by the\nsecretary. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In all\ncases of suspension, a written promise of future exemplary conduct signed by\npupil \/ student and countersigned by his parents or guardian shall be required\nas a condition for readmission and must be required in the case of suspension\nfor more than three (3) days&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1.2.2. Attendance of pupil\/ student in\nspecial holidays, activities relative to their religions, e.g. RAMADAN, shall\nbe allowed provided permission of the school head is sought. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1.2.3. Absences. A\npupil \/ student who incurs absences of more than twenty percent (20%) of the\nprescribed number of class or laboratory periods during the school year or term\nshould be given a laboratory periods during the school year or term should be\ngiven a failing grade and given no credit for the course or subject. Furthermore,\nthe school head may at his\/her discretion exempt a student who exceeds the\ntwenty percent limit for reasons considered valid and acceptable to the\nschool.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Such discretion shall\nnot excuse the student concern from the responsibility in keeping up with\nlesson assignments and taking examinations where indicated. The discretionary\nauthority is vested in the school head and may not be availed by a student nor\ngranted by a faculty member without the consent of the school head. \n\n1.2.4. Habitual Tardiness especially during the\nfirst period in the morning and in the afternoon shall not be allowed. Teachers\nconcerned shall call the parents of the student concern or visit him at home. \n\n\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Section 2. Rights and\nResponsibilities of a Student <\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>2.1. Rights of the students in school.\nThe students and pupils in all school shall enjoy the following rights, in\naddition to those rights provided for under relevant laws, subjects to\nlimitations prescribed by laws and regulations: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2.1.1. The right to received, primarily\nthrough competent instruction, relevant quality education in line with national\ngoals and conducive to their full development as persons with human dignity; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2.1.2. The right to avail of school guidance and counseling service\ntowards making decisions and selecting alternative field of school work suited\nto their potentials; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2.1.3. The right to have access to their\nown school records, which shall be maintained and preserved in a confidential\nmanner by the school; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2.1.4. The right to expeditious action\nnot exceeding thirty (30) days from receipt of request by the school, to the\nissuance of official school certificates, diplomas, transcript of records, grades,\ntransfer credentials and similar school documents or records. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2.1.5. The right to publish a student\nnewspaper and similar publications and to invite resource persons during\nassemblies, symposia, and other activities of similar nature. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2.1.6. The right to have free expression\nof opinions and suggestions, and to avail of effective channels of\ncommunication with the appropriate academic and <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>administrative bodies of the school; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2.1.7. The right to form or establish,\njoin and participate in organizations and societies, for the purpose not\ncontrary to law. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2.1.8. The right to be free from\ninvoluntary contributions, except those approved by their own organizations or\nsocieties. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Section 3. Students Activities\n<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>3.1. Classrooms are to be used for\nacademic purpose only. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3.2. No group actions like boycott of\nclasses \/ demonstrations against any issue, person or teacher will be allowed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3.3. Co-curricular activities shall be\nsubject to prior approval of the school head. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3.4. Meetings, assemblies, convocations\nand activities shall be held in the presence and with knowledge of the\nPrincipal, Head, Teacher, or Guidance Counselor, teacher or Club Adviser \/\nCoach. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Section 4. Campus Security <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4.1. Only bonafide students of the school\nshall be allowed inside the school campus. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4.2.&nbsp; No visitors shall be allowed inside the\ncampus during school hours except for valid reasons. They shall be required to\nsign the logbook of the security service. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4.3. Teachers shall confer with parents \/\nguardians or entertain visitors during their off period. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4.4. No students or visitors shall be\nallowed inside the school building and premises after the last class period has\nended except for schools with night classes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">ARTICLE II <\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">UNIFORM &nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SECTION 1. <\/strong>Every bonafide student of the school shall wear the pre- scribed\nschool uniform.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SECTION 2. <\/strong>The prescribed\nschool uniform for the boys shall be:&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Polo, Black\nPants and Black Shoes with white socks.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>White collared\nshirt with the specified school logo at the left breast, black pants, and black\nshoes with white socks.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SECTION\n3. <\/strong>The prescribed school uniform for the girls\nshall be:&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A white sports collared blouse with the\nspecified school logo, blue skirt, and black shoes with white\nsocks. White collared shirt with specified school logo,\nblue skirt and black&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SECTION 4. <\/strong>The uniform for\nPE shall be as prescribed by the authorities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SECTION 5. <\/strong>Violation of\nthese rules shall be dealt with accordingly. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>FIRST OFFENSE<\/strong>. He\/She will be assigned\nto clean a certain <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>part of the school Campus for not more than one hour. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>SECOND OFFENSE<\/strong>. He\/She will bring with\nhim\/her his parents to the Guidance Office for the proper guidance and\ncounseling and must sign a promissory note. <\/li><li><strong>THIRD OFFENSE<\/strong>. Suspension for five (5)\nconsecutive school days. <\/li><li>FOURTH OFFENSE. Dismissal. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">ARTICLE III <\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">IDENTIFICATION CARD <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SECTION 1.&nbsp; <\/strong>Every bonafide student of this school shall wear the prescribed\nschool Identification Card (ID) which serves as passport for entry in the\nschool campus and pin the same throughout the school session. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SECTION\n2.<\/strong> Any violation to this rule shall be served the\npenalties prescribed in Section 5 <sup>of Article\n1 of the school <\/sup><strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SSG rules and regulation&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">FLAG CEREMONY <\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SECTION 1. <\/strong>Every bonafide student is\nrequired to attend the flag Ceremony every school days.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SECTION 2<\/strong>.Any violation to\nthis rule shall be served the <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>penalties\nprescribed in Section 5 Article 1 of the school SSG rules and regulations <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">ARTICLE V. LITTERING\n<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SECTION\n1. <\/strong>Littering of wrappers, plastic bottles etc.\ninside the <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>school campus is strictly prohibited.\nViolation to this rule by any bonafide student of this school shall be served\nthe penalties as prescribed in Section 5, Article 1 of the school SSG rules and\nregulations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SECTION 2. <\/strong>Any bonafide student found violating Section 1 of <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>this Article shall be out rightly\nDISMISSED. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">ARTICLE VI <\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>DRINKING LIQUOR AND OTHER PROHIBITED\nDRUGS<\/strong><strong>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SECTION\n1.&nbsp; <\/strong>Any\nstudent found to be under the influence of <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>liquor is not allowed in the school\ncampus. Drinking liquor or taking prohibited drugs inside the school campus is\nstrictly prohibited. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SECTION\n2.&nbsp; <\/strong>Any\nbonafide student found violating section 1 of <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>this article shall be outrightly\nDISMISSED. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>ARTICLE VII GAMBLING <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SECTION 1.&nbsp; <\/strong>Gambling of any kind inside the school campus is strictly\nprohibited.&nbsp; Violation to this rule by\nany bonafide student shall served the penalties as prescribed in Section 2,\nArticle V of this SSS rules and regulations.<strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">ARTICLE VIII <\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">DEADLY WEAPONS <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SECTION\n1. <\/strong>Bringing deadly weapons inside the school campus\nis strictly prohibited.&nbsp; Any violation of\nthis article by any bonafide student shall serve the penalties as prescribed in\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Section 2,\nArticle V of the SSG rules and regulations <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">ARTICLE IX&nbsp; <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">&nbsp;MISCONDUCT AND ACT\nOF LASCIVIOUSNESS <\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SECTION 1.&nbsp; <\/strong>Misconduct and any act of lasciviousness by any bonafide student are\npunishable in the school campus. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SECTION 2.&nbsp; <\/strong>Any bonafide student of this school who is found guilty shall be\ndealt accordingly. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>FIRST OFFENSE.<\/strong> He\/She will be brought to the Guidance Office with his\/her parents\nfor proper guidance and counseling and must sign a promissory note. <\/li><li><strong>SECOND OFFENSE<\/strong>. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Suspension for five (5) consecutive school\ndays. <\/li><li><strong>THIRD OFFENSE<\/strong>.&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Dismissal.\n<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">ARTICLE X <\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">&nbsp;FIGHTING AND\nQUARELLING <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SECTION 1.&nbsp; <\/strong>Students fighting or quarrelling with any bonafide student or with\nany school authority shall serve the penalties prescribed in Section 2, Article\nVIII of the SSG rules and regulations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">ARTICLE XI <\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">VANDALISM <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SECTION\n1.&nbsp; <\/strong>Destroying\nschool properties. Writing on the walls, chairs or benches and destroying\nplants are acts of vandalism. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SECTION\n2. <\/strong>Any bonafide student who is found guilty shall\nbe <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>dealt with accordingly. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>FIRST\nOFFENSE<\/strong>. Suspension for five (5) consecutive school\ndays aside from paying \/replacing destroyed school property. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">SECOND OFFENSE. Dismissal. <\/h5>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">ARTICLE XII <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">STEALING AND OTHER RELATED CRIMES <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SECTION 1. <\/strong>Any student who\nis found guilty of stealing school properties and the like shall serve the\nfollowing penalties is prescribed in Section <strong>SECTION 2<\/strong>, <strong>Article X<\/strong> of\nthe school SSG rules and regulations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">ARTICLE XIII <\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">OFFICIAL DIALECT IN THE SCHOOL CAMPUS <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SECTION 1. <\/strong>The official language to be\nused by all bonafide students in the school campus shall be English or Filipino\nand same must be emphasized by every subject teacher in the classroom. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>ARTICLE XIV SMOKING <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SECTION\n1. <\/strong>&nbsp;Smoking\nis strictly prohibited within the school <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>campus. Smoking prohibition includes the\nelectronic cigarette. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SECTION\n2. <\/strong>Any bonafide student who is found guilty shall\nbe <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>dealt with accordingly. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">FIRST OFFENSE. Warning <\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SECOND\nOFFENSE.<\/strong> Suspension for five (5) consecutive school\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>days&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">THIRD OFFENSE. Dismissal. <\/h5>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">ARTICLE XV <\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">ABSENTEEISM <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SECTION 1. <\/strong>&nbsp;Any bonafide student who incurS at least three\nconsecutive absences should be brought to the Guidance Office for proper\nGuidance and counseling. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SECTION\n2. <\/strong>Any bonafide student who incurS absences of at\nleast thirty percent (20%) of the total number of prescribed school days\nwithout due reason should be automatically dropped from the roll. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">ARTICLE XV <\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">GOOD GROOMING <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SECTION 1. <\/strong>All bonafide student\nof this school must observe good grooming. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SECTION 2. <\/strong>Long hair and earrings are not\nallowed among male students. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SECTION\n3.<\/strong> Any student found guilty shall serve the penalty\nin Section 5, Article 1 of the school SSG rules and regulations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">ARTICLE XVI <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">SCHOOL PROPERTIES <\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SECTION 1. <\/strong>Every bonafide student is expected to extend extra care in the\nuse of all school properties including classrooms and\ncomfort rooms. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SECTION\n2. <\/strong>Any bonafide student who is found guilty of\ndestroying any school property particularly classroom and comfort rooms should\nserve the penalty as prescribed in Section 2, Article X of the school SSG rules\nand regulations. <\/p>\n ","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ARTICLE I SCHOOL DISCIPLINE Sec.
