SCHOLARSHIP OVERVIEW<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Scholarship\nPrograms are offered by the ASAT Alumni Association, Inc. (AAAI) <\/em><\/strong>and\ngroup of generous alumni, individual donors and businesses to academically\ngifted students. Funding is provided by the ASAT Alumni Association and\nSponsors. This program is managed by AAAI Scholarship Committee.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In order for a student to receive scholarships, the student must meet specific eligibility criteria and requirements as described in the application forms. Being selected as a scholarship recipient is an honor and provides monetary benefit for the student\u2019s use. For the benefits of the scholarship to continue, the scholar must maintain eligibility. Here are key policies to keep in mind:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Immediate Family\nMembers of ASAT Faculty, AAAI Officers & Board of Trustees and Officers of\nAAAI Scholarship Committee are not eligible to participate in the Academic Scholarship Program. They are\neligible to participate in the Endowment Scholarship Program.<\/em><\/li>
  2. In order to\nreceive a scholarship, the student meeting the requirements must complete\napplication forms at time of enrollment. Freshman Students and new scholars\nwill go through a qualifying process. For students qualified for \u201cRenewable\nScholarship\u201d they shall be notified by\nthe Scholarship Committee on or before enrollment.<\/em><\/li>
  3. Types of\nscholarship offered are renewable and non-renewable type. Renewable scholarship\nrequires the recipient to meet the eligibility requirements of scholarship to\ncontinue receiving the award yearly up to graduation while at ASAT. Please\nreview \u201cScholarship Maintenance Requirements\u201d. Failing to meet eligibility\nrequirements will cause forfeiture of the scholarship. Non-renewable\nscholarship grant is only for one school year subject to the \u201cRequirements for\nScholarship\u201d.<\/li>
  4. To review which\nscholarships are available, please read postings on the School\u2019s Bulletin Board\nor inquire during enrollment.<\/li>
  5. Scholarship given\nto students of the Aparri School of Arts and Trades (ASAT) are non-\ntransferrable. <\/em><\/strong>If a scholar permanently leaves ASAT during the school\nterm, the scholarship stipend is automatically cancelled.<\/li>
  6. A student will receive only ONE type of scholarship.<\/li>
  7. If a non-scholar\nstudent attains higher grade average than the current academic scholar in\ncertain grading periods or at the Final Grade, this will not be an automatic\nscholarship award to the non-scholar student or an automatic replacement of the\ncurrent scholar provided that the current scholar is in compliance with the\neligibility requirements of the scholarship. However, the non-scholar student\nwith higher grades may be a candidate in the next search for scholars.<\/li>
  8. The scholarship\nmonthly stipend shall be used for the student school needs, such as books,\nschool supplies and equipment, uniforms, shoes and other personal needs. It is\nnot meant for family expenses.<\/li>
  9. Monthly Stipend may vary from year to year.<\/li>
  10. At present, the\nASAT Alumni Association, Inc., has the following types of Scholarships:<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    a. The Merit Based Academic Scholarship, Criteria is based on high academic rating.
    b. The Need Based Endowment Scholarship, Criteria is based on Sponsors Requirement<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    In the near future as Sponsors increase, other types of Scholarships may be added to the list.<\/p>\n ","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
