The HUMSS Strand is intended for learners who wish to pursue a university degree in liberal arts and education. The study of social problems and changes as well as human circumstances is the focus on this strand. Learners studying this strand would be provided with a greater knowledge and appreciation of history, culture, politics, arts and literature.
This would also include a greater understanding between the interplay of various facets of society for learners. A learner may become a reporter, lawyer, teacher, author, journalist, editor, politician, psychologist, cultural anthropologist, social worker and the like under this strand.
