The Aparri School of Arts and Trades expresses support to the Aparri Surfing Community on its clean up drive advocacy dubbed as “Baybay Ku, Dalus Ku” during the Fellowship lunch held on December 23, 2020 at the school’s function hall.
As part of the school’s vision to pursue accreditation, its newly installed principal Dr. Nimfa A. Alagao, settled to make the School-Based Management work of which an early step made was the launching of a Fellowship lunch which was attended by the ASAT Alumni Association Incorporated, Aparri Polytechnic Institute (thru Dr. Eduardo Escobar), Local Government Unit and Barangay representatives, Parents Teachers Association, Supreme Student Council, Faculty and Personnel of the school, and other external stakeholders like the Aparri Surfing Community or better known as BKDK.
In a short message, the AAAI president Ret. Gen. Roberto M. Damian welcomed the school principal in her assumption of duty assuring support to her administration which then followed up by encouraging the teachers and staff to support the BKDK advocacy.
In response to the challenge to support the BKDK advocacy, Dr. Alagao expressed words of commitment as to guarantee support to the program of the BKDK as it is also one of the mandates of the school’s SBM.
Mr. Erwin Meram of the BKDK also conveyed words of thanks for the involvement of the school in its previous clean up drives along the shorelines of Aparri as well to its commitment of continued support to the crusade of the Aparri Surfing Community in cooperation with concerned Aparianos.
Moreover, the AAAI and the ASC compromised to produce an identity shirt of the faculty and staff with an inscription “ASAT supports BKDK” which will be worn on the second anniversary of the BKDK movement on January 23, 2021.
