Guidance counselor says most client come from broken family

Guidance Counselor II Loiza T. Pascual expressed her concerns on the Divorce Bill filed at the senate as her clients mostly came from broken families. According to her majority of her clients in the guidance office are children who are products of broken family while some are those who have parents working abroad. “If divorce will be approved or legalized, I am afraid more children will be affected. Of course, the separation might result to trauma to the child and they will find it hard to adapt on the situation.” said Pascual. “In the event of parent separation, children are the ones most affected. Many of them will be confused on whom to stay with. Worst, they might end up choosing the wrong peers because they will be seeking attention.” she added. Likewise, she said that there are no bad kids. It is just that they are searching love and affection. Because they wanted to feel special, sometimes they resort to do bad things just to get their parents attention. She said that the guidance office is always open mondays to fridays for students who need counseling
