ASAT athletics champion John Nichole Caballa clinched a silver medal in 100m dash and fifth
place finish in high jump in order to qualify for the 2020 CAVRAA meet.

Caballa, a grade 11 student of the school, had a personal best record of 10.43 seconds in the 100m dash. Out of the 28 ASAT athletes, he was the only CAVRAA qualifier of the school.“Sayang po dahil hindi ko nasungkit
ang gold. Masakit po kasi ang left leg ko during the finals dahil nabanat siya noong team relay na ginanap bago yung 100m dash. Bukod dun, mabilis po kasi talaga si Kian na taga Sanchez Mira.” confessed Caballa. “Huling taon ko na po sa athletics ngayon. It is my dream to reach Palarong Pambansa. I will work hard in order to reach this dream of mine.” he added.
