Teachers clad in their colorful Zumba attires flocked the ASAT gymnasium as Schools Division Superintendent Denizon P. Domingo personally led hundreds of Aparriano teachers in a Zumba for a Cause on June 24, 2019.

            “Aside from the health benefits of Zumba, your participation here will help build classrooms for marginalized learners in the province.” Thus, said Mr. Domingo during the event.

            The Zumba for a Cause is a joint project of the SDO Cagayan and DepEd Region 02 which aims to raise one million pesos to be used for classroom construction of the marginalized learners of the region.

            As a result, Aparriano teachers spearheaded by Aparri East and South District Supervisor Lorenza D. Cabalza,Ph.D. and Aparri West Supervisor Lucia Caraboc,Ph.D. were able to gather the amount of Php 30,000.00 to support the project.

            “You have the power to add more years in your life through Zumba dancing.” exclaimed Dr. Edward D. Garcia, ASAT’s school principal when asked on his thoughts about the event.#
