Better safe than sorry.

As the rainy season is fast approaching, the Local Government Unit of Aparri conducted a defogging activity at Aparri School of Arts and Trades to prevent dengue carrying mosquitoes from multiplying in the campus on August 2, 2019.

The representatives from the Local Government Unit arrived in the afternoon of August 2. They brought with them a water-based chemical substance which will be sprayed in all the classrooms of the campus.

Mr. Daniel Domingo, the team leader taught the male volunteers the correct way of preparing the formula and the do’s and don’ts when spraying it inside the classroom.

“The chemical is effective not only for mosquitoes but also all for cockroaches. You just have to spray it in all

corners of the classroom and the windows, and it will repel the mosquitoes for up to six months.”  Mr. Domingo added.

Because the defogging process will use chemical, all classes were suspended in the afternoon.
